Jedi Knights in the Water

Leave it to my boys turn turn giant bubble wands into Jedi Lightsabers. They had a blast fighting the dark side inthe pool and then blowing giant evil bubbles. Summer is the best!

Things I Love About Camping

Fishing in the River

Swim rides with my baby.

Campfire stories in the tent. Only Mason would sit long enough to listen-go figure!

Jiffy Pop on the fire pit. Mason calls it "Jishy Pop"-so cute!

Nightly card games are always a favorite. The kids love to play LCR,

but only if they play for money. Kids!

Hnaging out down by the water was the only way to keep cool. The kids and the dogs ( and also the adults) splashed and swam in the water.

S'mores followed the Jiffy Pop-yummy!

Ping Pong and Horse Shoes kept the boys busy when we were out of the water.

Camping on the river gave us LOTS of rocks to climb on.

This is actually the smallest rock that he jumped from.

Cooking dinner on the campfire always tastes so good. But it's even better when someone else cooks it. Yes, that's SHAWN cooking!

The Great Outdoors

Camping trip #2 was at Washington, California. Say you've never heard of it? That's because the town has a small population of 166 people and is in the middle of the Sierra Forrest. But boy what a spectacular time we had! We headed up on Thursday about 4:30pm, arriving at 8:00pm. Just enough time to set up the tent, inflate the mattresses, and hang out at the campfire for a round of s'mores. All of us stayed different amounts of time-Michelle, Geoff, and Shawn left Sunday so they could get back to work. Michelle, Matt and Katelyn headed home Monday. Mason and I came home Tuesday afternoon. And Papa and Nana kept Jaxon and Corey until Thursday. Jaxon is my little mountain man now! 5 days was enough for me. Taking a shower and sleeping in my own bed was a welcomed comfort last night (not to mention escaping the dusty campsite)!!!

Hilarious Night Out

Shawn and I went to see Kathy Griffin in concert tonight. She was extremely funny. We laughed the entire 2 hours. I love her show on Bravo-My Life on the D List and she did not disappoint in person. What a great night out!

Here Comes the Bridesmaids

Today I went up to Sacramento with my sisters to look at dresses for Holly's wedding. So far this is the first contender for dress choices. Believe it or not, we all agreed on this one. It's very cute and even looks good on my curvy figure. We're off to a great start!

Something to Bragg About

ok, so this is later Sunday afternoon when we finally found some sun when we headed more south on our trip. And since I can't seem to move my pictures to be in chronological order of the weekend, it just has to be backwards. But anyways, this is our trip to Fort Bragg. We had a great time and are considering moving there due to the laid back attitude and the amazing views of the ocean. Now only if the sun would come out more often, I would move in a heartbeat! Until then, Oakley suits me just fine.

This is the light House at Point Arena, where we climbed to the very top!
These are the 145 stairs that took us way way up to the top! We were kinda dizzy by the time we made it.
And this is the view from the top. It was worth the climb!!!

We threw the little ones off the side of the cliff and they just climbed back up and found shelter on their own. Good luck my sons! Just kidding...this is one of our favorite family fun activity. We love going to beaches and climbing the rocks. The boys are thrilled to look for crabs, starfish, as they climb for hours and hours. This was at MacKerricher State Park. It had a boardwalk that we walked all along the shore. There were paths to the ocean overy so often and we took advantage of the rocks every chance we could get.

Wild Side

Our summer do's this year are the mohawk. Even little guy chose it this year.
