The boys have been at my in-laws and my mom's for the past few nights, spending some end of the summer time with he grandparents. Tonight I took Mason to soccer and decided we needed some Mommy and Mason time afterwards. So we headed to John's for $1 scoop ice cream. Mason chose Lime Sherbet, based on the cool color. He loved every lick of it. We had a nice chat about his upcoming school year. He hopes his buddy Kenny is in his class so they can do their secret handshake. He is also looking forward to recess on the big playground and eating lunch at school. He thinks he will miss his Kindergarten teacher and has given me permission to walk him to his class the first day, as well as visit him in class and at recess. He is not looking forward to having PE, which if you have ever watched him play soccer you would understand. The boy only likes to be active when it's his idea to do so. After ice cream, we headed to the library where he picked out a new book (Ironman) and a DVD (Rocky and Bullwinkle-which he calls Rock and Bullicle). Walking to the car he turns to me and says, "this is the best night of the year". I told him I would settle for the best night of the week! I love this kid!

Go Ports!
Tonight was a special night at the Stockton Ports game! It was the mascot Splash's 5th birthday and it was celebrated with all of the local mascots at the game. The kids were all about getting the autographs! You haven't loved until you have your ticket signed by a giant bobble head, Clifford the Big Red Dog, and Thor from the Stockton Thunder! In addition to the party atmosphere, Jaxon was selected to sing Take Me Out to the Ballgame with the crowd!
Soccer Season Begins
We are very happy that Mason and Devon are on the same soccer team this year! They had so much fun as team mates at practice. Jaxon and Keilen are also on the same team. However, their practices are at the same time so Shawn and I have to split up for them. So all my pics of Jaxon will be from his games.
Marissa banged on our door at 7am to wake up the kids and tell them that they had to hurry and get to swim practice. She told them that Coach Cindy had called her and said since they missed swim practice the night before they had to go now. They were so happy when she pulled into Denny's to treat them to a pre-chamionship breakfast!
It'll Always be Marine World to Me
This had to be the coolest part of the day. We were watching the dolphins in their tank (my absolute favorite) and they were so attentive to the boys. Mason would take his toy and run it across the glass and the dolphins would follow it. They wanted to play!
