Last night was the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards, hosted by Duane "The Rock" Johnson. In honor of that, we had a Kid's Choice viewing party! The kids chose green eggs and ham for dinner, as well as chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. We had fun watching the awards as a family! The Rock is not too bad to look at for 90 minutes!

Bridal Shower!
My baby sister is getting married in less than 2 months! Yesterday was her bridal shower thrown by her best friend Lottie. Michelle and I helped out with food, but Lottie ran the show. She did such a nice job!!! We played fun games and ate yummy food. Holly opened fabulous presents and we ate delicious cake! I am so proud of the woman that Holly has become. She is always true to herself; she's strong and bold, loves to have a good time and is thoughtful and caring! And don't get me started on her fiance Tim. He is a gem. Best Wishes you two! May you have a LONG and HAPPY life together!
Baby Love!
I am head over heels in love with my new nephew. I spent the entire day with him yesterday and I could just eat him up! It just makes my ovaries ache. You can see why some people have so many kids. The baby stage is intoxicating! Although I have to admit it feels so good that he's my nephew! Sweet dreams my dear sister!
Scrap Weekend!
Marissa and I went on our traditional scrapbook vacation last weekend. It was 3 days of scrapbook bliss! We ate well, slept well, laughed a ton, and scrapped a bunch. We decided that from now on our table needs a theme and so this time we kicked it off with Scrappers Gone Wild. Stay tuned for our next theme...for the Labor Day weekend retreat! We have already started planning!
Book Report!
Jaxon was assigned a book report titled Character in a Can. He chose to report on Albert Einstein! He worked hard to write his report, place the most important facts inside the can, design the can to look like the character, and dress like Einstein to present his report. He had so much fun with this project!
Not to be out done by his older brother, Mason created a "report" on an alien robot and wanted his picture taken as well.

St. Patty's Day
Life Without a Laptop
So, usually I haven't blogged because I'm lazy or nothing interesting has happened beyond our everyday life. However, this week I haven't blogged because my laptop has been in the shop, so to speak. Apparently I have a gazillion viruses on it and my dear friend at school is cleaning it out for me. Seems that it keeps getting worse the more he cleans, so I'm hoping to have it back Monday. But we will see! I'm keeping my fingers crossed because boy do I miss that thing!
It's Sunday morning, which means Shawn is sleeping in and I get a turn on our home computer. You wouldn't beleive the line I have to wait in to use it! Ha Ha!
Now that we know why I've been gone so long, let's get to the good stuff!

High School Musical- On Ice!
We took the boys to see High School Musical On Ice, thanks to tickets we received from the Tompkins family. Well, truth be told I was the most excited to see it! I love the series of movies and the soundtrack, which doesn't say much for taste but that's ok. We had a really fun time and were even treated to a special appearance by Corbin Blue after the show. Oh wow, the girls were going crazy!!!

This Week In the Life of Us
Wow! The weeks keep flying by! My class is quickly adding gray hair to my head and my home life is as crazy and wonderful as ever. Mason came home from school with lots of dragon projects as they celebrated Chinese New Year. We received some exciting news that Jaxon has been selected for the GATE program at school. He is very excited!!! Yesterday Marissa and I headed up past Sacramento to visit Christa. She hosted a girl's luncheon for us, serving lemon drops, appetizers, panninis, and cheesecake! What a fun afternoon of gossip, good food and tons of laughter! Hanging out with the girls is always a hit! I'll post pictures of our hilarious phot shoot later!
